3CX Chrome Extension

The new 3CX Chrome Extension has added a new level of flexibility to on the go web client integration.

The new 3CX Chrome Extension is a fully functional client within your browser, without the web client needing to be opened. The Chrome popup comes to the front, allowing you to accept calls without leaving the window you’re on.

Configuring the web client is extremely easy if you haven’t already done so. Log into your web client (details provided in your welcome email if you’ve never logged in before), and you will be prompted in the top left corner to ‘Install 3CX Extension for Chrome’. This will open the Chrome Webstore. There, simply ‘Add to Chrome’, adding the extension to your browser, and ‘Add Extension’ to install. Allow your microphone to be utilised via the web client, and access full functionality.

A web client solution is suitable for all parties, particularly those without the ability to have an installed softphone client on their device.

Note that the 3CX Google Extension requires an update to 3CX V16 Update 4, alongside a Chrome update to Version 78 or later. Don’t hesitate to get in touch and upgrade your 3CX with C2 Communications today.
