How to Configure Your Sennheiser Headset with 3CX

Over the past few weeks, Sennheiser headsets have been back on our radar.

With some recent changes to Plantronics, including the w710 models becoming end of life, we’ve looked to our old friend Sennheiser to see how things have been progressing, and been pleasantly surprised!

We’re currently testing two models of headset:

  • Dual-ear Sennheiser DW 5036
  • Single-ear Sennheiser DW 10

Here’s how to configure them.

Download the Sennheiser Software

  1. Find the PC option here https://en-de.sennheiser.com/headset-software-pc# 
  2. Download the Sennheiser HeadSetup™ Pro
  3. Download the 3CXPHONE PLUGIN
  4. Install both executables and restart your PC

You can now use the Sennheiser headset with 3CX Softphone for Windows with full call control.

Configure the 3CX Web Client

Depending on your specific model, you can integrate the Sennheiser headset’s answer, end call and volume functions with the 3CX Web Client:

  1. In 3CX Web Client, go to “Settings” > “Other Options” > “Use headset integration” and select “Sennheiser”.
  2. Verify that your specific model was detected and displayed.
